Setting up a Google Ads seat in Loop allows you to activate audience segments directly in Google’s advertising network. Follow this guide to configure your seat and complete the required authorization process.

How to Set Up a Google Ads Seat

Step 1: Create a New Seat

  • Go to Seats in the Loop platform.

  • Click Create New.

  • Select Your Business Type:

    • Advertiser

    • Publisher

  • Select Google Ads as your platform.

  • Enter a seat name to help you identify this connection.

  • In the Seat ID field, enter your Google Ads account ID (found in the top right corner of Google Ads, formatted as XXX-XXX-XXXX).

This is your Google Ads Account ID

  • Click Create.

Step 2: Authorize the Seat in Google Ads

Once the seat is created in Loop, it will initially be in “Requires Authorization” status. To complete the authorization:

  • In Loop, locate your newly created Google Ads seat.

  • Click the Google button next to the seat.

  • You will be redirected to the Google SSO (Single Sign-On) screen.

  • Select the Google account associated with your Google Ads seat.

    • If you have multiple Google accounts, make sure to select the one that has the admin permissions for the Google Ads account you are connecting to Loop.

  • You will be prompted to allow Retargetly DMP to access your Google Ads data. Click Continue.

Click "Continue" when prompted by the Google SSO authorization

  • You will see a success message, confirming that your seat is now authorized and ready for activation.

Success!

Important: Without authorization, Loop will not be able to push audience segments to Google Ads.
