We have restructured the Loop Audience Taxonomy to simplify navigation and align with global industry standards. We streamlined the previous 12 top-level categories into 5 consolidated categories. This change reduces clutter and helps users locate segments faster.

Important: All Loop Segments Are Safe
We want to clarify two critical points regarding this update:

  • No Deletion: We did not delete any active segments with volume. We only reorganized their location within the folder structure.

  • Search Works: If you cannot find a specific segment in its old location, use the Search Bar. All segment names remain the same, so search is the fastest way to locate them.

The New Structure (12 became 5)
We moved from a list of 12 categories to a clean structure of 5 core pillars.

The New 5 Categories:

  • Demographics

    • Definition: Statistical characteristics of populations including age, gender, language, and income.

    • What lives here: Old "Language" and "Demographics" segments.

  • Behavioral

    • Definition: User segments defined by observed digital actions, habits, and recurring patterns.

    • What lives here: Old "Online Interactions" and "Connectivity" segments.

  • Purchase Intent

    • Definition: Users exhibiting active and recent signaling for buying specific products or services.

    • What lives here: Old "Retail purchases" and "Purchase intent" segments.

  • Interests

    • Definition: Audiences demonstrating strong affinity for specific topics through repeated content engagement.

    • What lives here: Old "Hobbies," "Specific interest," and "Domain Relevance" segments.

  • Geographics

    • Definition: Targeting attributes related to the physical location and movement patterns of the user.

    • What lives here: Old "Visited places" and "Interest by country" segments.
