Loop allows you to create audience segments using first-party data, third-party data, or a mix of both. Segments help you define and activate specific user groups based on behavioral, demographic, and contextual attributes.

Types of Segments in Loop

Loop supports different segmentation approaches depending on the data sources used:

1. Rule-Based Segments (First-Party Data)

  • Built using your first-party data collected via Loop.

  • Allows filtering based on user behavior, attributes, and custom rules.

2. Enriched Segments (Advanced Targeting)

  • Combines first-party and third-party data for deeper insights and better targeting.

  • Includes Lookalike, Mix & Match, and Cross-Device Segments.

3. Audience Planning (Third-Party Data Segments)

  • Built entirely from third-party data available in Loop.

  • Uses predefined taxonomies, keywords, and geographic filters.

  • Once activated, these audiences appear in the Segments section.

Where to Find and Manage Segments

  • Navigate to the Segments tab in Loop.

  • View, edit, and activate previously created segments.

  • Use filters to organize segments by ID, name, type, data source, or activation status.
