What Is a Seed?
A “seed” is an existing set of users whose attributes you want to connect across devices. It might be a group of high‑value customers, website visitors, or any other first‑party segment you’ve already created in Loop.
Why Use Cross Device?
Cross device matching lets you associate multiple phones, tablets, and desktops to the same person. This approach ensures your ads appear consistently across each device they use.
Example Use Case
Imagine you run an online clothing store. Some of your top customers shop from a desktop at work, a smartphone on the go, and a tablet at home. By creating a cross device segment, you can recognize these same individuals no matter which device they use, ensuring your ads and product recommendations follow them seamlessly across their entire digital journey.
Steps to Create a Cross Device Segment
Go to Segments
In the Loop dashboard, click Segments.
Create a New Segment
Select Create Segment and choose the Cross Device option.
Select Your Seed
Pick the segment you want to expand. Loop’s identity graph will link all recognized devices for those users.
Finalize Your Segment
Click Create. Your new segment now contains the devices associated with each user in your seed.
By using Cross Device segments, you can maintain a consistent user experience and deliver relevant messaging across every device a single user owns, boosting engagement and conversions.
