Rule-based segments in Loop are designed to utilize only your first-party data, to enable a precise audience targeting based on user interactions with your platforms.
To Create a Rule-Based Segment:
Navigate to the Segments Section:
Log in to your Loop dashboard.
Click on the "Segments" tab.
Initiate a New Segment:
Click on "Create New".
Select "Standard Segment".
Define Segment Details:
Name: Enter a descriptive name for the segment.
Description: Provide a brief overview of the segment's purpose.
Select Source Type:
Choose the data source you wish to segment:
Web: Data from your website.
File: Uploaded datasets.
Ads: Advertising platforms.
App: Mobile applications.
Configure Segmentation Rules:
Click on "Add Rule" to set criteria for user inclusion.
Available filters include:
By Source: Filter data from a specific source.
By URL: Target users who visited particular URLs.
By Date: Specify a date range for user activity.
By Frequency: Define how often a user visited your site within the last 90 days.

Finalize and Create:
Review your configurations.
Click "Create" to establish the segment.
Data Population Timeline:
After creation, the segment will begin to populate with data from your selected sources. Depending on the volume of data, this process may take up to 1 hour.
